"Come Celebrate the Feast of Harvest with Firstfruits"
In scripture we see a very powerful law of life instituted by God, for His people to enjoy His blessing. It is called:
“The Law of the Firstfruits”
or
“The Law of the First Response.”
Scripture teaches us to practise this principle on a regular basis through the obedience of the regular giving of a tithe.
Scripture also teaches an annual or yearly fulfilment of this faith law and this is called firstfruits offering.

In Nehemiah 12v 44. we see firstfruits listed as one of three kinds of God instituted giving into His house.
1. Special offerings. 2. Firstfruits 3. Tithes.
The firstfruits offering is a special annual offering at the beginning of a new harvest.
In our society we have the start of a new financial year at the beginning of July and thus many churches now engage in the great celebration of the feast of firstfruits on the first Sunday in July.
When you give your firstfruits offering on the first Sunday of July, you are declaring that you are trusting God in your life in three special areas.
1. That He is Lord of the Harvest and you trust Him to meet your needs.
2. That the Lord will abundantly bless the seed faith of your firstfruits offering.
3. That the Lord will rebuke the devourer on your behalf that your harvest might be complete.
In Romans 11v 16 we read “If the firstfruits be sanctified, the whole harvest shall be sanctified, and the roots, (first actions) be sanctified, so shall the branches be also Holy.”
The law of firstfruits is a very powerful law of spiritual life. In our church we teach that it is a visible, and positive faith step, to believe together as a family, to bring our “first pay packets” for a new financial year, and offer them to the Lord as our twentieth century expression of the firstfruits offering.
THIS IS A FREE WILL OFFERING:
All true giving to God must have certain ingredients present for it to be a true act of worship.

1. Obedience to God’s word.
2. A willingness to give.
3. Faith, for an abundant return.
4. Sacrifice; it costs you something.
5. A sense of joy in giving.
The offering of firstfruits can set the scene for God to move in your life this coming year as He never has before. The law of your first response to God for this coming financial year can have great impact upon your walk before God. Let the first Sunday in July be a day of celebration and great anticipation as we together bring our “First Fruits” to the Lord.
