Our Values - Redland City Church

• We value the pursuit of God. We are hungry to know God's presence, hear His voice and follow after Him.
  

• We value Christ-likeness. We desire that Jesus' love, mercy, grace, truth, purity, power and integrity shine through all that we do.
  

• We value being Spirit-led. We honour Jesus as our head and the Holy Spirit as our Counsellor. We seek to always be responsive to the Holy Spirit.
  

• We value discipleship. We aim first to grow personally in the knowledge of Christ and secondly to make disciples calling others to follow Him.
  

• We value Integrity. It is important to us to "speak the truth, deal honestly and live uprightly."
  

• We value servant leadership. We believe that Christ has put significant leadership authority in the hands of the pastor and his associates.
  

• We aim to exercise that authority with humility, selflessness, grace, care for God's People and sincerely desire to build up the Body of Christ.
  

• We value unity. We are convinced that all who belong to Christ are one in His Body, the church. We aim to maintain unity by honouring all who call on Jesus' name and by seeking reconciliation in most circumstances.
  

• We value simplicity. We wish to do nothing "for religious effort" but rather to operate in a natural low key, 'non-hype pattern. We prefer to have fun while serving the ministry of Christ.
  

• We value being culture current. We reflect this through worship music that is of a popular style. We aim to develop an atmosphere of ease to speak, act and dress in ways which people can readily respond positively.
